![]() ![]() If they are not set to work together, it could cause them to fail altogether. If you right click on your nodes, go to Add Tool and go down to Mask, you will now have access to the masking tools available in Fusion. ![]() The Fusion Tab is where all the masking and tools to create video effects are made. You WILL need an ellipse going into the final merge's mask channel in order to effect the entire composition.Īs well, in every mask node, make sure your mix mode is set to the correct property. With that, let’s get in and mask our way to the top If you’re completely new to Fusion, we’ve made things easier for you with this helpful tutorial in Using DaVinci Resolve’s Fusion and Create Video Effects. Your masks are correctly set up for what it seems you are trying to do. LolĮdit: I misinterpreted your node graph the first time I looked at it. I question the purpose of the transform nodes in your mask set up as the masks should have their own independent transform properties? But that could be one of the things that is different between standalone and Resolve so eh. This will tell Fusion that you are indeed using a mask and it should effect your composition as such.ĭon't change your transform nodes to the mask inputs because it seems you are using them to control the properties of the mask.Īdditionally, off topic. Should be the blue arrow on the merge nodes. Since they are masks, they need to be input into the mask channel of the nodes. What I believe your problem is, is that you currently have your masks being input into the input channel of the node, (used when connecting other effector nodes together). So take my comment with a grain of salt as it may not be a direct 1 to 1 comparison but my advice should still be accurate.įirstly your node graph in your screenshot is fine, you don't need an additional merge node to make this work, it should work without. ![]() I will preface my comment with the fact that I only use the standalone version of Fusion. ![]()
